Several readers wrote in to say that one of their favorite moments in music comes near the end of the fourth and final act of Mozart's âMarriage of Figaro,â when the philandering Count Almaviva, having been caught and humiliated, asks his wife for forgiveness. But that melody is hinted at in Act III, during the count's seductive duet with Susanna, his wife's maid, as I point out in this video.
