Dear Diary:
After three years of commuting on the A train, I have finally found the analogy to describe my feelings when the headlights of the infuriatingly and inevitably delayed train light up the tracks in advance of its arrival around the bend. I greet it with the furrowed eyebrows, clenched teeth and head-shaking I use when I finally spot my very late younger sister arriving at our designated meeting place: âHow dare you keep me waiting, but Iâm still really glad to see you.â
