TORONTO â" The lively political drawings of Ralph Steadman have been capturing attention for decades. The illustrator and cartoonist may be known for teaming up with the writer Hunter S. Thompson in 1969, but he has racked up his fair share of interesting life experiences as well. They are chronicled in Charlie Paulâs documentary about Mr. Steadman, âFor No Good Reason,â which screened this week at the festival.
In conjunction with the documentary, the festival is holding a gallery exhibition of Mr. Steadmanâs work. In this video, Mr. Steadman relfects on how he creates his work, including images from pieces on display in the gallery.
