Stephen Sondheim and James Lapineâs musical âPassion,â set in 19th-century Italy, tells an unlikely love story: Giorgio, a young army captain with a beautiful mistress, is changed by the obsessive love that Fosca, an invalid he meets while serving at a mountain outpost, has for him. In this number from the Classic Stage Company revival, Fosca, played by Judy Kuhn, sings âLoving You,â in which she tells Giorgio that her love for him âis not a choice, and not much reason to rejoice.â Ms. Kuhn is accompanied on cello by Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf; the arrangement is by Rob Berman, the showâs musical director. âPassionâ continues through April 19.>
